Your Profile #

Every player has a public profile that others can view. It shows:

• Your player name and tier
• Your alliance membership
• Your scores across the different categories
• Your active watch and badges

If a captain is on vacation right now, their profile says so: their islands are protected from attacks and spying during that time. When the vacation ends is not shown there. If you have scheduled a vacation that has not begun yet, your own profile shows "Vacation from …". Other captains do not see it; only members of your alliance see it in the member list. Until then you are not protected; the vacation begins 24 hours after scheduling at the earliest.

You can enhance your profile with a personal description. BBCode formatting is supported, allowing you to style your text.

Lighthouse Watch #

Lighthouse Watch counts your active days by the UTC calendar. Every day on which you perform a game action (building, researching, trading, collecting beachcombing items, and many more) counts as an active day.

• Consecutive active days form your current watch
• A skipped UTC calendar day interrupts the watch. An exception bridges a skipped Sunday when clocks go back in Europe or the US
• At certain milestones (after several days, weeks and months) you receive rewards

A broken watch is shown to you on your next login so you know you are starting from scratch.

Badges #

Particularly long watches unlock badges displayed on your profile:

• Keeper of the Flame -- For a watch of thirty days
• Legend of the Coast -- For a watch of one hundred days

Badges are permanent achievements. Even if your watch breaks later, you keep your earned badges.

You can find all your achievements in the menu under Achievements. Most of them earn fame points — a pure tally of honor that shows your standing: they cannot be spent and give no advantage in the game.

Lore Fragments #

At certain watch milestones you receive lore fragments -- narrative pieces that tell the story of the game world. They are stored in "Island Chronicles" and can be revisited at any time.

Fragments not yet unlocked are shown as locked. The collection gives you an incentive to maintain your watch and discover the full story.

Strategy #

• Log in briefly every day -- Even a small action is enough to keep the watch alive
• Maintain your profile -- Other players check your profile before attacking or recruiting you
• Do not miss milestones -- The rewards are generous, especially at long watches
• Collect lore -- The fragments tell a cohesive story of the island world
