Distress Call to Your Alliance
# Distress Call to Your Alliance
What is the distress call? #
The distress call alerts your alliance with a single click when your island is under attack. Alliance members see a red marker at the top of the navigation and can send you reinforcements.
When does the button appear? #
The button shows up on the island detail page and in the fleet cockpit (Incoming tab) when:
- an enemy attack or colonization is heading towards your island,
- this island has no active distress call already,
- the cooldown has expired (1 hour after closing),
- you are in an alliance.
What happens after you click? #
1. A message goes out to all alliance members. 2. The red distress marker appears in the top navigation for every member. 3. On the distress detail page you can see who has already responded.
Understanding travel time — the most important section #
If an attack arrives in 12 minutes and an ally has a 28-minute travel path, their reinforcements will arrive too late — the fight is already over. The system tells everyone honestly: \"you can make it\" or \"too late\". No false hope, no pointless trips. The members who can arrive in time send help; the others know to save their fleets for the follow-up — because a war rarely consists of a single attack.
The travel time is an estimate based on small warships. Sending something faster or slower will shift the real number.
Response options #
On the distress detail page you have two ways to send reinforcements:
- Quick-Send (with template): Pick one of your saved fleet templates and dispatch it instantly from one of your islands.
- Adjust (in the mission wizard): Open the fleet wizard with target and \"Verlegen\" mission pre-filled. You can freely tune the composition there.
No templates yet? Create one in the fleet cockpit under \"Templates\" first.
When does the distress call disappear? #
- Manually: The sender clicks \"Close distress call\" — for example after the attack has ended.
- Automatically: If no further combat happens for 2 hours, the call closes on its own.
- Island lost: If the island is colonized, the call closes automatically.
- Alliance change or vacation mode: The call closes automatically.
Loyalty period (24 hours) #
If you joined your alliance less than 24 hours ago, you can see distress calls — but cannot respond yet. This period prevents someone from briefly joining an alliance just to send reinforcements.
Cooldown (1 hour) #
After closing a distress call, you must wait 1 hour before you can send a new one on the same island. This prevents spam. Other islands in your empire are not affected.
Maximum 5 concurrent distress calls per alliance #
A performance ceiling — in practice this should never be a limit.
Frequently asked questions #
- Does the attacker know I sent a distress call? No.
- What if no one answers? You defend on your own, as always. The distress call does not guarantee help.
- Can I receive distress calls by email or push? Not in this version. They are in-game only.
- Can I have multiple distress calls at once? Maximum one active per island.
- Does the call cover multiple simultaneous attacks? Yes. The estimated arrival shows the earliest one.
